| Critter Reid ventured into the world of artiness very early in life. Most of her years have been spent experimenting with different mediums including acrylic, wood, silver, bronze, stone, fiberglass and finally hot glass. In 1993, at the age of twenty, she began blowing glass out of a small studio where she was taking private lessons. She continued to blow there for the next two years while completing her B.A. in studio arts. During her three-year stay she began showing and selling her work nationally. It came time for her to build her own studio and in 1998 it was completed. Today she creates a wide assortment of glass pieces including many glittering snails and shell forms from her studio tucked away in the hills. |
