Jim and Kathleen have created some very unusual hand painted cabinets. Each unique piece features intricately painted wildlife using acrylic paints and lacquers. They also incorporate fused glass panels within each cabinet or chest. Various colors and shapes of glass are cut by hand and then laid in the desired pattern. Once all the pieces are cut and placed on a base rectangular piece of glass, the pieces are fused and melted together in a kiln at over 1450 degress for about 24 hours. Some cabinets have lights which impart a wonderful glow when using these furniture pieces as night lights. Custom designs are welcome. |
